For those not quite sure, you do not need ultrasn0w to unlock the 3.0 firmware on the 1st gen iphones. If you have a Pwned iphone already, simply download the 3.0 firmware, connect your phone, click SHIFT + the UPDATE button (Don’t click on UPDATE alone) in iTunes – I used version 8.2. Simple. For those not quite sure, you do not need ultrasn0w to unlock the 3.0 firmware on the 1st gen iphones.
If you have a Pwned iphone already, simply download the 3.0 firmware, connect your phone, click SHIFT + the UPDATE button (Don’t click on UPDATE alone) in iTunes – I used version 8.2.
Simple. You’ll have a 1st Gen iPhone running 3.0
If you upgraded your phone to 3.0, don’t worry. You can use the existing Pwnage utility to take you back to 2.2 or 2.1 and then do the 3.0 upgrade as above.

Download iPhone OS 3.0 Build 7A341 Software Update
Download iPhone 2G Firmware 3.0
Download iPhone 3G Firmware 3.0
